Property code: OC-SFTMH

An attractive, Suffolk manor house, situated in tranquil countryside at Bramfield, this rural retreat is perfect for a group stay. Sleeping 10 guests, the five-bedroom holiday home offers generous space and a covered hot tub area. From Bramfield, it is 2 miles to the fringes of the Suffolk Coast and Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with its picturesque heathland and coastal walks. Venture 6.5 miles to Walberswick on the Suffolk Heritage Coast to spend time on the sandy beach and catch the rowing boat ferry over to Southwold. In Southwold, browse in the shops and perhaps dine out in a pub, cafe or restaurant. Dunwich, 6 miles away, is another lovely beach, where you can walk, paddle and swim.

Let yourselves into the three-storey property to find spacious accommodation with boutique hotel-style touches here and there. The well-equipped kitchen/breakfast room has ample room for taking turns at preparing meals and sitting down to eat, while looking out over the garden. There is a light-filled, main lounge, where you can fire up the wood burner on chilly days, watch TV together and play music, plus a cosy snug, with a TV, so members of your party can watch something different if they choose. The dining room is an elegant space for formal meals and celebrations and has French doors that can be opened up on to the garden in the spring and summer. Also downstairs is a family shower room. A family bathroom, with roll-top bath, is on the first floor of the property, together with four of the bedrooms. These include three king-size rooms, one with four-poster bed and en-suite bathroom, and two with sleigh beds, and one bunk bedroom. Steep stairs lead up to the second floor of the house, where there is a twin bedroom and a playroom, with day bed that can be made into a double bed, a games console, TV and DVD player to keep younger members of the group entertained. These rooms have limited head-height due to the sloping ceilings of this period house.

Spill out into the garden on sunny days to light the BBQ or bubble in the hot tub under the covered terrace. There is a lawn for outside games, garden seating to relax on and a trampoline and swing where children can play under adult supervision.

  • 5 bedrooms – 3 king-sizes, 1 twin, 1 bunk bedroom

This house was absolutely brilliant. There were 9 of us and the house suited our needs perfectly. The house was well maintained, really clean and about a 15 min drive from southwald. The local pub was really lovely too. We cooked every night and the kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to cater for 9! We wouldnt hesitate to come back Read morehere. Hide

This property has potential as it has plenty of space but not of a high enough standard for the price . Needs a good deep clean and mice issue especially needs addressing. Location is good . Outdoor space is very good for older children but is on the main road through the village so smaller children need close supervision.

The house is beautiful, a perfect size for our family of 10 (6 adults 4 children). The kitchen is very well-stocked with equipment and the children loved the big garden, trampoline and hot tub.
