Wake up to the smell of sea air in this fabulous apartment on the North Devon coast. Sleeping four guests, the holiday home is ideal for couples and small families looking to get away from it all. A short stroll (500 metres) brings you into the heart of Mortehoe, which is a quintessential English village perched high on the cliffs. The village has a choice of cosy pubs, as well as a fish and chip shop. There’s also a fascinating museum, detailing the village’s mysterious links to smuggling. Keen walkers will be in their element, with dramatic coastal paths directly outside the front door. Join the footpath to Rockham Bay, where you’ll discover a secluded beach backed by rugged cliffs, which can only be reached by a set of steep steps leading down to the sand. From here, you can head to Morte Point, where seals can often be spotted off the shore. If you’re looking for a more bustling atmosphere, the popular seaside resort of Woolacombe is just 2 miles away.
A few steps lead up to the front door of this coastal apartment. Once inside, discover an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, with neutral decor and chic furniture. The room enjoys distant sea views, as well as some spectacular sunsets. At the end of the day, return to your beautiful apartment to unwind on the comfortable seating and catch up on your favourite programmes on the TV, or curl up in the armchair with a book. There is a choice of dining areas, including an elegant dining table to seat everyone or a stylish breakfast bar for informal mealtimes. When day turns to night, retire to one of the inviting bedrooms (a double or twin), both of which have been decorated in calming tones for a good night’s rest. The double bedroom has an en-suite wet room, and there is also a separate bathroom within the apartment.
To the rear of the property you’ll find a lovely courtyard. The area is fully enclosed, and also has outdoor furniture for al fresco dining.
