This delightful cottage is located on a farm and surrounded by the countryside yet remains within easy reach of local attractions and amenities. It’s therefore the perfect retreat for couples who want the best of both worlds from their holiday accommodation. The cottage is surrounded by several walks through the unspoilt countryside, including a 2-mile route which will take you directly to the famous Sissinghurst Castle Gardens, whilst the impressive Leeds Castle is an easy 10-mile drive away. A little further afield, 18 miles away, is Battle made famous by the Battle of Hastings. With year-round battle re-enactments, its largely unchanged battleground and its medieval abbey, this town is a history-lovers paradise. Upon returning to the cottage after a day of walking and exploring, guests can relax in the village pub which is just half a mile from the property.
This wonderful cottage is deceptively spacious whilst managing to maintain all the cosy, cottage charm of a traditional Kent farmhouse. Upon entering the property, guests will find themselves in the open-plan lounge/diner, a truly lovely space with exposed beams, wooden floors and a wood burner. During the summer, let the outside in and open the doors that lead directly to the garden and enjoy views of the unspoilt countryside. Enjoy a romantic meal together in the elegantly styled separate dining room. The bedroom is at the rear of the property and has a super-king-size bed, which can be arranged as a twin on request. It also has French doors opening onto an east-facing terrace which catches the morning sun, and a modern en-suite shower room.
The property is surrounded by a spectacular garden, perfect for relaxing in the sunshine or al fresco dining. A gate leads to the farmland where guests are welcome to explore.
