Just 4 miles away are the bustling twin towns of Lynton and Lynmouth, also known as England’s ‘Little Switzerland’, with chocolate-box houses and magnificent scenery. Visit the lovely shops and cafes or take a ride on the funicular cliff railway. Hop in the car and take a trip to Ilfracombe (13.5 miles) for wonderful beach days sunbathing, or surfing.

Had a very warm welcome from all the family, the cottage had all that we needed for our holiday. We had the use of a small field to exercise our dog which was a big plus. The village ahs a small community shop and cafe, open 7 days a week also very welcoming. The pub is at the entrance to the farm track though we never got round to visiting it, shaRead moreme! Wonderful stay in this farm cottage. It was warm and comfortable with a well equipped kitchen. After breaking my leg severe mobility problems so as on one level so ideal for me. Also a lovely touch on arrival leaving us a bottle of wine, homemade fudge, milk and seasonal flowers.

The cottage was lovely and quirky. We were very comfortable and it was very cool during a heat wave. The location is great for walking, we walked to Lynton and got the bus back practically to the door. Local pub and community cafe/shop both superb. If the teapot had been bigger it would have been perfect!
