This idyllic cottage, adorned with climbing flowers, is the perfect place to switch off and relax. Sleeping three guests, the property is ideal for groups of friends and small families looking for a slower pace of life. Set off along the quiet country lanes to explore the surrounding towns and villages, or head to the coast for a relaxing day at the seaside (Wells-next-the-Sea is just 7.5 miles away). At the end of the day, return to your cosy cottage for a sundowner on the gravel patio. The Georgian market town of Holt (5 miles) makes a lovely day out, with its fine 18th-century buildings, fascinating art galleries, and a plethora of antique shops and bookstores. From Morston Quay (3.5 miles), you can catch the ferry to Blakeney Point, for a memorable day marvelling at England’s largest grey seal colony.
The ground floor of the traditional cottage has a light and bright open-plan layout. Exposed beams run across the ceiling, and neutral tones have been used to create a relaxed atmosphere. After a busy day, sink into the plump sofa or curl up in the armchair to watch the TV/DVD. Rustle up a tasty meal using local produce in the kitchen area, and enjoy together at the table by the window. Upstairs, two inviting bedrooms await, with characterful exposed beams and stonework. The bedrooms are set in the eaves, so just watch out for the restricted head height in some areas. A shower room completes the first floor.
Outside, relax in the tranquil courtyard, sipping a glass of wine at the table or enjoying a spot of al fresco dining, surrounded by gorgeous climbing roses and clematis.
