This charming bungalow is in a quiet residential area close to everything Southwold has to offer and is the perfect home from home for enjoying a fantastic seaside holiday. Wander into the town centre to visit the many excellent shops, pubs, cafes, and restaurants, or walk to Southwold’s sandy beach, with its promenade and the iconic pier, with its shop, cafes, and an amusement arcade, just 500 metres away. Enjoy a round of golf at nearby Southwold Golf Club, just 1 mile from the house. Keen walkers are spoilt for choice with many stunning coastal and countryside walks to choose from, including the 11-mile Southwold to Covehithe circular walk which hugs the coast on the Suffolk Coast Path and then heads inland. For wildlife lovers, RSPB Minsmere, an amazing coastal reserve with great walks, incredible wildlife, and fun family activities, is a 12-mile drive away and well worth visiting.
Take the five or six steps up to the front door (there is a slope to the side of the bungalow for the less mobile to avoid the steps) and enter this welcoming single-storey property. The attractive living room is very welcoming with plenty of comfortable seating and lots of natural light, perfect for watching TV or reading, and a gas fire to keep you cosy on chilly evenings. The kitchen/diner too is very light and bright and has recently been fitted with everything you might need to make delicious meals, with a large dining area in which to enjoy them that looks out over the large rear garden. There are two good-sized bedrooms, a large, bright twin room, and a calm, peaceful double. Both bedrooms have use of the modern family bathroom.
The house has a super garden with a large lawn, pretty planted borders and a south-facing courtyard that catches the sun. There’s a bench and sun-loungers to relax on with a good book or you can do a spot of birdwatching from the garden across open fields and marshes, which is a haven for birds. At the bottom of the garden, there’s a large summer house with floor-to-ceiling windows, the perfect spot to have a cup of tea and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
