Gorgeous Georgeham nestles amid North Devon’s gently rolling countryside, yet it’s less than a couple of miles from some of the region’s best-known beaches. The golden arcs of Croyde (1 mile), Woolacombe (3.5 miles) and Putsborough (2 miles) are favourites with families and surfing aficionados alike, while Saunton Sands and the Braunton Burrows UNESCO Biosphere (both 5 miles) behind it are well worth a visit. For time away from the beach, visit the historic pannier market at Barnstaple, the largest town in North Devon, or head to the region’s gastronomic centre, Ilfracombe – each is around 8 miles away.

Steps lead down from the roadside to a pretty front garden and towards the front entrance of this stylish holiday home. A spacious hallway and cloakroom greet guests and welcome them into a comfortable living/dining room where leather sofas and a wood burner set the scene for cosy catch-ups with friends and family. Close by, a well-equipped kitchen and utility room take care of all the home-from-home essentials. Stairs lead to three attractive first-floor bedrooms, each with underfloor heating, plus a light, bright bathroom. There’s a choice of sleeping options, with one double bedroom, the second with twin beds and the third with a single bed.

A fully enclosed rear garden with a lawn, mature trees and shrubs has a fabulous patio area with decking which will be perfect for al fresco food, drinks and relaxation. Fire up the BBQ and cook up a feast while you enjoy views of the countryside beyond.

Our 3rd visit, very comfortable and well equipped, parking permit for the village hall is a bonus as is closer and easier parking than in front of garage. Garden is secure which was great for the dog. Very helpful and friendly next door. Shop has reopened which is a bonus. Highly recommend the Rock Inn great food and atmosphere.

This was a lovely cottage to stay in on our family holiday. It was comfortable and felt like a home away from home. A perfect hub for lots of walking in the local area and easy access to nearby beaches!

Was at property for two weeks.Was seriously considering asking for an exchange after first week for two reasons.I could not let my dog roam in garden in case the neighbours dog to the left was out,an absolute beast and because of banging from the property to the left late at night.Property and its situation is fine otherwise.

Comfortable cottage, well equipped and easy to heat. Great location close to village shop and beautiful beach. We also really appreciated the enclosed garden with for our dog. Would definitely stay here again.

This was our first time staying at Salar Cottage and had a lovely week. The comfort of the cottage was excellent and great value for money. Lots of equipment and the whole cottage was very clean. Would recommend easy to get to Croyde and woolacombe. Ate twice at the Rock inn excellent food both times and a good atmosphere.

Fantastic cottage, brilliantly equipped for all of our needs. Beds were really comfy and the shower and bath were lovely with loads of hot water. Really nice kitchen and living areas. Perfect for a great family holiday. Would come again. Georgeham is a brilliant place to stay with loads of walks and beaches close by.

Salar Cottage is a great base for a holiday in the area. The village is very pretty and well served with two pubs and a village shop. It's a lovely to be able to walk to the coast direct from your accommodation and it's easy to drive to Braunton to stock up on supplies for your week away. Georgham is a lovely village with, in our opinion, a decent shop and two decent pubs, both of the pubs had excellent menus
