Situated in the charming village of Langham, this is the perfect holiday home for people wanting a peaceful base from which to explore the wonders of the local area. The stunning Norfolk coastline with its famous sandy beaches, nature reserves and Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty will delight birdwatchers, wildlife spotters and nature lovers alike. At the same time, the coastal villages of Cley-next-the-Sea (3.5 miles) and Salthouse (6 miles) and the market town of Holt (5.5 miles) offer delights for those who prefer browsing in independent shops and art galleries and relaxing in coffee shops.

Head up the beautifully pebbled driveway to the front door of your charming stone and brick home. Kick off your shoes in the porch before wandering through to the comfortably furnished lounge room with Smart TV and its statement fireplace built from more of those red bricks so characteristic of this house. Throw open the glass-panelled double doors to reveal a spacious conservatory. The perfect place to relax, read a book or play board games when the British weather can’t decide whether it's sunny or not. A second set of doors lead you into the large, bright kitchen and through to the utility room with its garden access. Stop to wash your hands in the cloakroom, then head upstairs to find three generously sized bedrooms, an en-suite and a sizable bathroom with bath, shower over bath and WC.

You might want to spend all your time outside of this property. There are two gardens, one at the front with a lawn and box hedges, and a rear garden that is completely enclosed and private. Light the BBQ, then relax in a lawn chair and as the kids investigate little wooden summer house. When lunch is ready, serve it on the patio, with its covered seating area perfect for al fresco dining.

Avocet House was in a quiet village location, within aneasy drive of Blakeney and the many attractions of the North Norfolk coast.

A beautiful clean well equipped property Really enjoyed our stay and was very close to all emmenties . The dogs enjoyed the back garden and loved running around the local beaches. Would definitely consider staying again.

House excellent but a big eucalyptus tree I. The back garden shed its leaves hourly, leaving dead leaves all over the lawn and outside table and chairs. I was given an incorrect key code by the booking agency so could not get into the property until the housekeeper arrived. She was very helpful and explained the code was one digit wrong.

We had a lovely week at Avocet House. The house is spacious and very comfortable. The back garden is totally secure which was ideal for us as we have an inquisitive dog. The beautiful, sandy beaches of Wells, Holkham and Brancaster are about a 20 minute drive away and have dog friendly areas all year. We didn't eat in the local pub (Blue Bell) Read morebut did have a very good Sunday lunch at The Three Swallows at Cley next the Sea. Hide

Our stay at Avocet house was very comfortable. We particularly liked the quiet cul-de-sac position and only 2 miles away from the coast at Blakeney, so very convenient .

A very luxurious house to visit, we enjoyed our peaceful break very much. We'll enclosed garden, extremely well equipped kitchen and a great feeling of space and tranquility. Would happily visit again!
