This converted barn, full of character, is located down a quiet country lane. It’s an idyllic retreat for families or a group of friends looking for a base from which to explore the picturesque countryside of the Bodmin Moor Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the Cornish coast. The local area is great for walks through woodland and moorland and offers the chance to spot wildlife. Enjoy a drive along the leafy lanes and visit the village of St Breward, less than 2 miles away. A mile further on you reach Wenford Bridge, the start of The Camel Trail. The trail follows an 18-mile former railway line beside the River Camel and is great for walking or cycling. Bikes can be hired locally. Otherwise, historic Pencarrow House and Gardens or Port Isaac are both less than 10 miles away.
Enter this two-storey, traditional stone house, and discover the delightful, exposed timber beams which cleverly combine with the contemporary decor. On the ground floor, the comfortable lounge area with an ornate wood burner will take the chill off the evenings in the cooler months. With cosy seating and a Smart TV, this space is perfect to gather, spend time together and unwind. If you feel like cooking your favourite dishes or local fare, you'll find everything you need in the kitchen. The separate dining hall is a cosy place to eat and has stairs leading up to the first floor. The final room on the ground floor is the bathroom with a WC. Upstairs there are two bedrooms - a king-size and a twin, which can be zipped together to make a super-king-size bed. There is also an additional shower room with WC.
The large, fully enclosed lawned garden complete with a picnic table and BBQ is the perfect place to eat when the weather is sunny.
