Offering stylish accommodation for up to four guests, this bright and inviting apartment makes a great base for families and couples seeking a quiet base for exploring the popular seaside town of Whitby. The immediate area has a wealth of great places to eat and drink, with nearby attractions including the beautiful sandy beach, Whitby Museum, the Whalebone Arch, the start of the Cinder Track and the Dracula Experience. Heading over the bridge you can climb the 199 Steps up to the ruins of the abbey or head to the Captain Cook Memorial Museum. Away from the town you can explore the beautiful North York Moors or visit beautiful coastal villages including Robin Hood’s Bay (6 miles).

A short flight of external steps leads up to this colourful property and through into the shared entrance hall. Further stairs go up to the apartment on the second floor. Inside, the spacious, light-filled open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner features eye-catching artwork by a local artist and makes a lovely space for everyone to relax at the end of a great day. With comfortable seating and an elegant flame-effect electric fire, the lounge is perfect for settling back to watch a film or curling up with a good book. The dining area is by the window, providing a peaceful spot for sharing all your favourite meals. Towards the back of the room, the stylishly arranged kitchen has plenty of equipment for cooking up a storm. When it’s time for bed there are two cheerful bedrooms. The first is a king-size room, and the second is a twin room which can be made up into a king-size room on prior request. Both bedrooms have a TV, and are decorated in relaxing shades, with plenty of storage space. The apartment also features a handy bathroom, perfect whether you want to enjoy a long soak or an invigorating shower.

Lovely home from home.Clean and well equipped.You do need to be fully mobile as the apartment is accessed via 3 flights. No issue for me, however my elderly mother struggled a little. My fault as didn't realise there would be so many steps. Had a lovely 5 days and the dog loved it too.Nice touch having a welcome pack, free WiFi and Sky TV.

The Black Pearl had everything you needed. Clean and welcoming and comfy beds. Great location for town centre or the Beach. Great view of the Abbey from the street. Also lots of places in easy driving distance such as Scarborough, Robin Hoods Bay, the North Yorkshire Moors Railway and Sandsen. Would highly recommend.

This is probably the best apartment we have ever stayed in as regards cleanliness, comfort, quality of equipment, quality of decor. Good location. Parking wasn't easy but we coped!
