This delightful property is perfect for a large family or group of friends planning to explore the glories of the Exmoor National Park and North Devon coast. A short stroll (0.25 miles) leads to Parracombe village centre where you can buy fresh local produce at a community cafe and shop or eat out at the traditional pub. Climb aboard the steam engine train from Woody Bay station, just outside the village, for a short ride along the Lynton and Barnstaple narrow gauge railway through lovely countryside. Enjoy a visit to picturesque Lynmouth harbour (3 miles) and take the famous funicular railway up to the twin village of Lynton, 152 metres above, with splendid coastal views on the way. Drink in more panoramic vistas as you walk the wild Exmoor uplands on your doorstep and look out for rare butterflies in the beautiful Heddon Valley (2.9 miles), owned by the National Trust.

Relax in the welcoming living room, which provides comfortable seating, a cosy wood burner in a period fireplace with a charming overmantel mirror above, plus a Smart TV with Freesat and Blu-ray/DVD. A bright conservatory with rattan seating is ideal for enjoying the beautiful outlook, whatever the weather. There is a country-style kitchen with a handy breakfast bar and a traditionally furnished dining room for more formal meals. There is also a king-size colonial bedroom and a spacious family bathroom on this floor. Cottage-style stairs with low headroom lead to the second floor and two bedrooms. One is a twin and the other is a single.

The cottage was not as clean as expected. The Aga and small oven are not enough to easily cook a large meal.
