Close to the River Esk as it flows towards the sea, this delightful second-floor apartment provides spacious holiday accommodation for up to seven guests. Set in the town’s popular West Cliff area, the apartment is within easy reach of attractions including Pannett Park, the harbour, the Captain Cook Memorial Museum, the Dracula Experience and Whalebone Arch. The beautiful beach is less than a mile away, and crossing the swing bridge you can climb the 199 Steps to the abbey ruins. Whitby also has plenty of great pubs, restaurants and shops. Keen walkers can head out of town to explore the North York Moors, or venture 6 miles along the coast to the idyllic Robin Hood’s Bay.
Heading into the property, steps lead up from the electronic gate to the entrance lobby, with stairs taking you up to the apartment on the second floor. Stepping inside, the hallway leads through to the bright and relaxing lounge/diner, which makes an ideal space to unwind in at the end of a fantastic day. From the lounge, double doors look out onto a balcony with views across the town and towards the ruins of the abbey. There is a bistro table and two chairs on the balcony. The lounge is an ideal space to relax, watch a movie or chat about the day’s events. Towards the back of the room, there’s a lovely dining area to gather around, and the stylish kitchen has a range of useful equipment along with a handy extra breakfast table. This floor also features a WC and the first of the apartment’s three tastefully furnished bedrooms: a cosy double room. Stairs lead up to the third floor where you will find a refreshing family bathroom and the two remaining bedrooms: a triple room which has three single beds, and a lovely king-size room with its own en-suite shower room.
While the property has no outdoor space of its own, with the delights of Whitby on your doorstep, there is plenty to explore.
