The picturesque village of Briston (2.5 miles) is known for its traditional old houses, charming village green and friendly pubs. Also nearby is the Georgian market town of Holt (6.5 miles) with its boutique shops and restaurants, and a steam train travelling through to the popular seaside resort of Sheringham (13 miles). Local attractions include Baconsthorpe Castle, Pensthorpe Natural Park, Mannington Estate, Blickling Hall, Holt Country Park, Thursford Wood, Sheringham Park, Felbrigg Hall, Gardens and Estate, Broadland Country Park and Fakenham Racecourse (all within 15 miles).

On entering this stunning property you will be greeted by the spacious, light-filled open-plan lounge/diner. With its beamed and vaulted high ceiling and large windows, this is a fantastic space to settle back and unwind in. The lounge has plenty of seating plus a TV, DVD, CD/hi-fi and iPod dock, with French doors opening out onto the patio. There’s also a sociable dining space, ideal for getting together to chat about the day and get ready for tomorrow’s adventures. Exploring the ground floor further, there’s a handy family bathroom complete with a shower over the bath and a WC. You will also find the first of the property’s three fresh, tastefully decorated and relaxing super-king-size bedrooms, all of which can be made up as twin rooms on prior request. Stairs lead up to the galleried first-floor landing which overlooks the main living space. The first floor features the two remaining bedrooms, each with its own en-suite shower room with a shower and WC.

Going outside, a private walled rose and honeysuckle garden has two large paved patios with plenty of outdoor furniture and a BBQ, providing an idyllic space to sit back and make the most of a lazy summer’s afternoon. Beyond the patio areas there’s a lovely large lawn with plenty of space for children to run and play. The owner’s extended grounds stretch for some 4 acres, so you really feel as if you are out in the country.  They feature a tennis court, which is available for guests' use. There are also wildflower meadows and ponds within the grounds to enjoy.  Parking is available for three large vehicles on the courtyard, and there’s also storage space for bikes.

Slightly tricky to get there but once you arrive, you should find it worth it. Peaceful and very pleasant surroundings. I tried but i could not fault it.

The Barn at Moor Hall is really delightful. Its in the middle of nowhere making it the perfect place to enjoy the peace and quiet of the Norfolk countryside. However it is also close enough to travel to a number of coastal areas.

A very isolated and, consequently, very peaceful cottage set in a delightful part of the world. The cottage itself is very well appointed and comfortable.
