Spilt over two floors, this light-filled and spacious two-bedroom apartment is nestled in Snape Maltings and is an ideal base for touring the nearby Suffolk Heritage Coast. Situated a few miles inland from the coast, Snape is a unique and charming village on the Alde Estuary and is famously home to a concert hall. Explore the intricate network of beautiful brick buildings in Snape Maltings, with a maze of art galleries, restaurants, cafes and shops for you to discover. Hire a kayak or canoe, or try paddleboarding to journey along the upper reaches of the River Alde with Iken Canoe, 5.5 miles away. Get back to nature with a wonderful walk or gentle bike ride for 4 miles along the Alde River and Sailor’s Path (6 miles) to the picturesque seaside town of Aldeburgh to be rewarded with excellent restaurants and boutique shops.

An entrance hallway welcomes you into the apartment, and leads to a spacious open-plan living, kitchen and dining room, with a characterful sloping ceiling. The space is flooded with natural sunlight from the sliding patio doors which lead onto the second-floor roof terrace. The living room is tucked cosily at the lowest ceiling point and is defined by a large comfortable sofa, two armchairs and a TV. Beneath the light from the patio doors, you’ll find a contemporary dining table and chairs, which flows through to the sleek kitchen, well-equipped with everything you may need to cater. Back through the first floor of the apartment, you’ll find a king-size bedroom, with another sloping ceiling and an en-suite shower room, as well as a cosy twin bedroom. There is also a family bathroom on this level. The second floor comprises a study room with remote-controlled blinds, leading to the roof terrace.

Outside, the second floor opens out onto a wonderful, secluded roof terrace complete with trendy decking and patio furniture to enjoy on a warm summer’s evening. Bi-fold patio doors with Juliet-style balustrade enable you to bring the outside in. Underneath the apartment building, there is also some handy bike storage.

Spacious, comfortable and tastefully furnished apartment in a great location. The interesting artworks, many with local associations, were an added bonus. The roof terrace would be lovely in warm weather. We very much enjoyed our stay here. Quite a lot of steps up to the apartment might cause a problem to some. I can thoroughly recommend this apartment. The owner has gone to great lengths to make it a perfect stay. Its wonderfully quiet and yet youre in the hub of Snape Maltings and the surroundings with all that that has to offer. Good points Quiet

This is a lovely flat and ideally located at the end of the River Alde for those who like bird watching and walking in the surrounding countryside.

An ideal place to stay for access to the Suffolk coast. The apartment is lovely. I have stayed there four times now and I hope to return next year.

Really enjoyed staying at this beautiful apartment. The decor was over and above what I would have expected for a rental. All equipment was top notch. The location is perfect for exploring. When the day is done you are in a perfect place for a wander, shop and food. Would definitely stay here again. There is one thing I would mention which is a sRead moremall negative, there is a rather large stairs to the apartment which may cause a problem for some people. Hide

This is a wonderful apartment, ideally situated for excursions to Orford, Aldeburgh, Woodbridge and further afield and of course the artistic attractions of Snape. It's also located close to Iken, ideal for those who wish to walk part of the Suffolk coastal rote with its abundant wildlife.
