This delightful barn conversion, retaining some of its original features, is in the centre of the village of Croyde. It would comfortably house a family or small group of friends for an idyllic Devonshire getaway. Croyde’s beautiful golden sandy beach, known for its surfing, is under half a mile away where you can hire boards. Surf lessons are easily booked within the village. The National Trust-owned headland of Baggy Point with its dramatic rugged coast is ideal for walkers, where long walks provide a good excuse to enjoy a cream tea at the coastal tea rooms on the way back.
With its stylish open-plan living area with real wood floors, the cottage has plenty of wow-factor. The living room has two large sofas which provide ample seating space in front of the wood burner TV. The dining table is positioned between the living area and kitchen space. The kitchen is small but perfectly formed, with everything you need for an easy self-catering holiday. Underfloor heating is provided throughout to ensure you are cosy and warm on cooler evenings all year round. Upstairs there are three bedrooms. There is a super-king-size bed, a twin and a single room. The contemporary family bathroom contains a bath with shower overhead and this room has a heated ceramic tiled floor.
From the living room, a bi-fold patio door links the cottage to the enclosed garden with patio, hot tub and BBQ. It’s a welcome outdoor area to further relax in after a fun-filled day out and about. The garden boasts a hot tub on the private patio area, which is ideal for those sunset evenings when unwinding with a glass of wine after a busy day on the beach. It also includes the quirky feature of a ‘donkey ramp’ - a characteristic left from the property’s original function.
