This charming, single-storey, converted farm building surrounded by countryside in Mid Wales is the perfect romantic and rural retreat for a couple. Escape to a peaceful cottage in a row of holiday properties on a former farm. Stay in Mid Wales, 2 miles away from Caersws, where you’ll find a handful of restaurants, a cafe and a convenient train station. The busy town of Newton (7 miles) is the biggest in Powys and has an array of supermarkets, shops, restaurants and a museum. Once you’ve explored the nature and scenic walks nearby, Llandinam Gravels Nature Reserve is 1.5 miles away, or you could visit Ffrwd Fawr Waterfall (13.5 miles) and Clywdog Reservoir (11 miles).
Walk down one step into the sitting room of the property, the spaciousness and array of large windows create a bright and airy space. Looking up, you’ll notice the characterful wooden cathedral-style ceiling. Surrounding the eclectic flame-effect wood-burning stove are two comfortable sofas. Put your feet up and unwind while watching a film on the DVD player after a long day out in the fresh air. There is also a glass patio door which opens up onto the outdoor area. Inside the neutral-toned, homely kitchen/diner there is an ‘L’-shaped fitted kitchen with a wooden dining table and chairs. Make yourself feel at home in the bedroom, with a king-size bed and TV, en-suite with shower cubicle and WC, while a glass door leads out onto the patio. There is also a laundry area and games room on site for guests to use.
Outside you will find a private patio with a table and chairs. Additionally, there is a large lawn area with delightful countryside views to explore, shared with the neighbouring properties.
