The cottage, which was formerly Reydon High School, has been converted to a very high standard and sits in a peaceful location with easy access to the common, beach, and village amenities - perfect for a family or group wanting to enjoy the sunning Suffolk coast. Located in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Reydon is a leafy village with two shops, a hotel with a restaurant and bars, and is close to Reydon Wood, an ancient woodland which is perfect for walks (1.5 miles from the house). Head to Southwold for a fantastic family day out (2 miles away), where there are two beaches to choose from, as well as a gorgeous promenade and pier, a lighthouse, a summer theatre, museums, and a whole host of shops, cafés, tearooms, pubs, restaurants, and fish and chip shops to enjoy. Catch the foot ferry from Southwold Harbour (2.5 miles away) to the idyllic village of Walberswick, where you can watch the British Crabbing Championships every August.
The house lets in lots of natural light thanks to the large windows of the old school building and features a lovely, bright open-plan sitting room/dining room with comfortable sofas, a TV and patio doors that lead outside to the garden. The kitchen is equipped with everything you could need to rustle up delicious meals. Upstairs are two lovely, light bedrooms, a twin and a double, the latter having its own dressing area and en-suite shower room. There’s also a bright modern family shower room for guests to use.
Patio doors from the dining area lead outside to a smart private garden which has a lawn and patio area with dining furniture and a BBQ, perfect for dining al fresco in the evening sun.
