Tucked away on the edge of a forest and close to the Coed-y-Brenin Forest Park, this is the ultimate country hideaway. Lose yourself in its wonderful, green surroundings and extensive grounds. The cottage sits in a smallholding, sharing the space with another cottage (also available to rent to bring total capacity to up 15 guests) and is home to farm animals including chickens, pigs and sheep. With so much outdoor space it’s perfect for older children to roam and adults to explore, making this a great option for both families and groups. Mountain bikers are spoilt for choice here with trails for all abilities at nearby Coed-y-Brenin (4 miles). Walkers can enjoy forest trails and marvel at the lovely panoramas on some of the best walking routes in Wales. Dolgellau is just 7 miles away and is the nearest main town. As well as offering pubs, shops and restaurants, it is also the start of an easy bike route through the stunning estuary down to Barmouth. Beach lovers only have to travel 15 miles from the cottage to enjoy the beach at iconic Barmouth, or 20 miles for the rugged dunes with mountains and a castle as a backdrop at Harlech.

Those looking for a taste of authentic Wales will love this property's traditional features. There is a huge stone fireplace in the lounge, a beamed ceiling and open stone walls in many of the rooms. A spacious lounge area with plenty of comfortable seating has room for everyone. The kitchen/diner is tastefully decorated with some lovely traditional touches, offering lots of space for socialising. A utility room leads out to the paved and gated patio. A convenient ground-floor shower room is ideal to freshen up after a long walk. On the second floor are three light and bright bedrooms and a spacious family bathroom.

With a BBQ and table and chairs on the rear patio, outdoor dining is a lovely way to unwind in the evening and a chance to breathe and enjoy the stunning setting amongst the forest and hills. To the front of the property is an open grassed area, and picnic benches by the pond provide a tranquil setting for a relaxed lunch outdoors.

Fabulous cottage in a great location. A well equipped barn overlooking the Coed-y-Brenin valley. Mountain bike trails from the cottage. Bike storage. Walking paths straight from the cottage. Owners live next door & are very friendly, welcoming & helpful .Water is from a bore hole, but has the best shower in a rental cottage we've stayed in. Wifi/ iRead morenternet/ phone signal is good. Very comfortable beds. Kitchen well equipped. Hide
