Looe is an ideal destination for foodies and this property is situated by the harbour in West Looe, just across the bridge from the town’s many seafood restaurants. Watch the fishing boats come in with their fresh catch before heading off for a delicious dinner. For children, and the young at heart, East Looe Beach is a popular sandy strip for sandcastle building and safe swimming. The beach even has its own cafe and is flanked by the historic and picturesque Banjo Pier. For nature lovers, a boat trip to the marine nature reserve of Looe Island is a must, spotting grey seals and seabirds such as cormorants, oystercatchers and the great black-backed gull.

Accommodation in his charming Grade II-listed property is over three floors. From the front door, guests step up and straight into the attractive lounge/kitchen/diner where there’s a comfortable sofa area surrounding a feature fireplace with a flame-effect fire. A smart wooden breakfast bar divides the room and provides guests with a stylish dining area. The kitchen is well equipped and lit by a feature window. On the first floor, there’s a bedroom with a king-size bed and an ornamental fireplace, as well as a bathroom with a shower over the bath. Up on the second floor, you’ll find two cosy twin bedrooms.

While there is no outside space, this street-front property is just minutes from the riverside and perfectly situated for an early morning stroll by the water.

Lovely place in great location which resulted in a great holiday but in need of light restoration. Parking is 1/5th of a mile up a steep hill which will be difficult for someone with mobility issues. Ended up paying around 100 on nearby car park.

Very happy to recommend Verbena after staying there for a weeks holiday. The cottage is very clean and comfortable and in a great position, being down on the flat in the town was ideal, no hills to climb unless you want to! There is a lovely pub (The Jolly Sailor) a short walk away and 2 very handy convenience stores nearby. It is in West Looe whRead moreere there are several restaurants and pubs and within easy walking distance to East Looe. The cottage is a positioned a few minutes walk from the ferry which takes you across to the east side and you can get on the Looe Land Train which takes you on a great ride around the town, you can get on and off at various locations. All in all had a great time and would highly recommend. Hide

The description of the property on the website was not fully accurate. Smaller than expected - no way suitable for 6 people who would have to use one bathroom. A good deal overpriced. Needs some modernisation - windows in particular need renovation. Noisy - from the pub to people passing very close by and seagulls on the rooof. The car park was furRead morether than expected and up a very steep hill (that was not mentioned in the details). Water from the shower is dripping downstairs even though we were careful to keep the floor in the bathroom dry.. also there was no mention of the difficult stairs which are not suitable for the elderly or those with disabilities. The property was lovely and clean, well equipped, walking distance to town. There is a nice little pub next door to the property and 2 little shops that has most things in if you run out of anything. People are very friendly and helpful.
