This is a gorgeous cottage with incredible views. The lay out of 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms created lots of space. The 2 reception rooms again gave our family lots of space for the whole week. Mount cottage is in a great location with a fantastic view over the harbour and up to the Abbey. Lovely comfortable beds, nice lounge area and very well equipped kitchen. The stairs were a bit challenging for my sisters but as we're all over 60 that's to be expected, I suppose. Parking was made easier by the tokens left for our use but bear in mindRead more that they don't guarantee you a place close to the cottage. We ended up on car parks on a couple of occasions. Despite these little niggles, I'd happily stay here again when visiting Whitby. Hide

Lovely break. Cottage in great location. Whitby busy for this March break so took awhile to get a car space in W permit spots. Something to bear in mind at peak times in Whitby. I had the most delightful stay at this charming three-bedroom cottage in Whitby. First and foremost, the location is amazing. The balcony provides stunning panoramic views of Whitby Harbour from the sea and both piers on the left, all the way around past the Abbey, to the bustling town on the right. The location of the cottage allows for easy eRead morexploration of Whitby, as it's within walking distance of most attractions. I thoroughly enjoyed strolling through the town and its enchanting back alleys. I'm always stumbling upon new and intriguing places I haven't seen before. Inside, the cottage is cosy, well-equipped and heated well, ensuring a comfortable stay. The charm of this place is amplified by its original features, giving it a unique character. Now, I must mention the quaint challenge of navigating steep stairs and steps around the cottage a testament to its historical roots. It may be challenging for some. However, for me, it only added to the overall charm, reminiscent of the authentic feel of old cottages and it's what to expect in old buildings. Parking, though not directly outside due to the narrow one-way street, is conveniently solved with the provided permit for nearby parking. A small inconvenience easily overshadowed by the location and amazing views! Thank you for providing such a wonderful retreat. Hide

I put a 3 for cleanliness as the lounge area was grubby and the top bathroom was grubby too cleaners were taedy in this regard. Found the instructions a bit draconian as to orders about emptying all wastebins and filling the dishwasher and removing all bedding off beds at the end of our weeks stay, i rather think that would be cleaners job not oursRead more .
