This is an attractive, traditional stone-built cottage that has been sympathetically extended to create a spacious, well-designed and comfortable detached house. All rooms have a view of the garden or the fells. The cottage is double-fronted and benefits from a large porch with seating. From the porch, enter the lounge and dining area, which are separated by a beautiful oak dresser. The lounge has plenty of comfortable seating, a TV and a cosy granite fireplace with a wood burner available to keep you warm on cooler evenings. The kitchen has everything you need, and from the kitchen, you can enter the garden room, where you can dine in style with a wonderful view of the garden. From the hallway, an interior door leads to the integral garage, which has been cleverly converted into a games room with a full-size table tennis table. Behind the interior garage door, is a ground floor WC and utility room. Upstairs, there's a family shower room and three bedrooms - a super king-size with an en-suite bathroom, a twin with lovely views, and a single bedroom.

Outside the property, a lawned garden extends over about 2 acres and includes a stream, a waterfall, a small summerhouse, a patio area and a BBQ for al fresco dining in fine weather.

Braegarth is very welcoming and cosy house with marvellous views and a set in an attractive garden. Great fun to be had for adventurous children. It is furnished and equipped to a very high standard and spotlessly clean. A choice of many walks, both easy and challenging, direct from the door, . Once parked up you really do not need to use your car Read moreagain, with a local shop and several good restaurants, cafes and pubs within a few minutes walk from the house. I would certainly recommend Braegarth to anyone looking for a memorable stay in the Langdale valley. Hide
