Self-catering holiday cottages in Castle Combe

Having previously won the coveted ‘Prettiest Village in England’ award several times, our holiday cottages in Castle Combe make for a great base to experience the Cotswolds. Nestled in Wiltshire, this treacle-toned village has a fairy-tale quality and not surprisingly, has featured in several noteworthy blockbusters including ‘Stardust’ and Steven Spielberg’s ‘War Horse’. From our Castle Combe cottages, you can spend leisurely days pottering amongst picture-postcard scenery, picking up delicious homemade treats outside many of the locals’ houses, and stopping for lunch at the renowned village pub.

Architecturally, little has changed in Castle Combe since the 15th century, offering a wealth of photo opportunities. Look out for the Market Cross monument, the 13th-century St Andrew’s Church and the faceless clock which is said to be one of the oldest working clocks in the UK. There are plenty of fun days out near our self-catering accommodation in Castle Combe too, from adrenaline-fuelled experiences at the famous Castle Combe Circuit, to relaxing days of golf at The Manor House Golf Club. Some lovely walks can be found near the village including the Macmillan Way and the Palladian Way trails, or if you fancy exploring some more beautiful towns and villages in the Cotswolds, Badminton, Tetbury, Chippenham and Hinton are all close by.
