Self-catering holiday cottages in Annan

Set on the northern shores of the Solway Firth, the charming Royal Burgh of Annan is the perfect base for outdoor enthusiasts looking to soak up the beauty of Dumfries and Galloway in south-west Scotland. Our Annan cottages lie on the east side of the River Annan in an area steeped in history, once the site of Roman camps and the birthplace of famous writer Thomas Carlyle. Take a wander through the town, dipping in and out of its shops, pubs and restaurants, or make the most of the many attractions nearby. Caerlaverock Castle, Annandale Distillery and WWT’s Caerlaverock Wetland Centre are all local, as well as a string of golf courses and a variety of scenic walking trails including the Annandale Way.

Our holiday cottages in Annan are also perfect for exploring the unspoilt coast, with rugged shores, beaches and hidden coves awaiting discovery. The Annan Shore Walk boasts some incredible views, with the opportunity to spot a host of birds and other wildlife. Plus, if you stay in our self-catering accommodation in Annan during the summer, you can catch the annual spectacle of Annan Riding of the Marches – a cavalcade of more than 100 horses riding through the streets of the town, as well as the skirl of pipes at the Annual Scottish Pipe Band Championships.
