Self-catering holiday cottages in Ardmair

In the north west of Scotland, a couple of miles north of the town of Ullapool in Wester Ross, lies the village of Ardmair. This part of the country has all the allure of a rugged, rural setting – the epitome of a classic Scottish Highlands scene. The little fishing village is popular among visitors, with a highlight of the holiday season being hiring a boat from the beach. Just off Ardmair Bay is Isle Martin, a nature reserve which is awash with wildlife. It can be reached by passenger ferry from Ardmair during the summer months.

One of the other, more challenging, activities enjoyed by visitors to the area, is climbing to the peak of Ben Mor Coigach which rises up from the opposite side of Loch Kanaird. While it’s a steep climb, the views from the top are astonishing and well worth the exertion. Throughout the area are other walking routes to suit all tastes, from rugged coastal rambles to hilly inland trails.

The town of Ullapool (3.7 miles) has an array of eateries and entertainment, as well as a lovely selection of shops selling everything from gifts to supplies to whip up a delicious meal in your holiday cottage. The town’s golf course offers spectacular views while you take your swing, and there are a number of leisure facilities here, including a swimming pool, perfect for rainy days. If you’re looking or an easy walk, try the Ullapool Hill route, during which you can enjoy beautiful views of the town and Summer Isles.

Stay in one of our Ardmair cottages and you’ll be perfectly placed for enjoying the area’s natural attractions. Our holiday cottages in Ardmair provide a comfortable retreat for a relaxing holiday on the beautiful North West Highlands. Take a look at our self-catering accommodation in Ardmair today.
