A lively small market town, Buckingham is full of characterful Georgian buildings, tree lined streets, large open green spaces, and winding its way through the town is the Great Ouse River. A holiday cottage in this lovely town is the perfect spot for a countryside getaway; mixing long countryside walks with shopping in the local shops.
Filled with superb places to eat and drink there are plenty of places to rest your feet. Proudly sitting at the centre of the town is the Old Gaol, a prison built in 1748 in the style of a castle. Now a museum, tourist information centre, gift shop, bookstore and a venue to hire, what an unusual party venue it would make! .
