Calstock is a beautiful village in South Cornwall, set on the River Tamar. Just 10 miles from Plymouth, Calstock is in a prime location to enjoy shopping trips in the city’s cosmopolitan centre. Stroll down the cottage-lined streets of this pretty village, although bear in mind some of them can be quite steep! You will be amazed by the stunning architecture of the railway viaduct which sits above the river. Built in 1907, it is one of the last great railway viaducts and is often photographed as an example. At 120 feet tall and with 12 huge arches, it carries the Tamar Valley railway and is a focal point of the town.
