Self-catering holiday cottages in Coldingham

Coldingham is a village in south-east Scotland, close to the border with England. The history of the settlement stretches back far into the past, to at least the Romans and likely beyond. It lies about 10 miles from Berwick, though the town of Eyemouth is closer still.

The village is separated from the North Sea by the St Abb's Head National Nature Reserve, where you can find dramatic cliffs from which to watch thousands of nesting seabirds, including guillemots, kittiwakes and razorbills. The beach at Coldingham Bay is a stone’s throw from the village (1 mile) and makes for an enjoyable walk. There’s a surf school at the beach if you fancy learning a new skill while you’re there, or simply enjoy a stroll along the picturesque sandy bay. Being a sheltered beach, it’s a lovely spot for a swim, with a seasonal lifeguard patrol and plenty of rockpools to keep mini explorers busy.

Eymouth is just 3 miles from Coldingham which can be reached along the Creel Path if you’re feeling energetic, or by road if not. Here you’ll find a bustling harbour town with a colourful fleet of fishing boats. Take time to explore the narrow streets and learn about the town’s relationship with the sea, including smuggling and fishing at the town museum.

Stay in one of our holiday cottages in Coldingham and be perfectly positioned for exploring this exciting section of coastline. Brimming with nature, coastal towns and historic attractions, you can spend your days exploring before heading back to your choice of our Coldingham cottages for a restful evening planning the next day’s adventures. Above you’ll find our full collection of self-catering accommodation in Coldingham and the surrounding area.
