Come to Colintraive in Scotland for a holiday and stay at one of our self-catering holiday cottages. A small village on the shores of the Kyles of Bute, Colintraive makes a wonderful Scottish getaway for walkers and cyclists alike. With plenty of trails to explore around the village and lots of wildlife and country air to enjoy you'll be in your element. With many popular attractions on the opposite side, you can jump on the ferry, which only takes a few minutes, to make the most of the land on either side of the Kyles of Bute.
Situated on the east coast of the Cowal Peninsula, Colintraive sits at the narrowest point along the Kyles of Bute. It’s a beautiful Scottish hideaway with walking trails galore and abundant views of the wild countryside. Colintraive is home to some visitor attractions and places of historical interest that includes the Colintraive Heritage Centre. It’s here that you can learn all about the history of the village and the local area which takes in over 150 years of farming heritage. Pick up one of the walking paths along the shoreline of the Kyle of Bute on warm days – the views are astounding. The village looks out over to the Isle of Bute which is linked to the mainland by the CalMac car ferry from Rhubodach – the crossing is very short. Stay in one of our Colintraive cottages for a peaceful Scottish break in the heart of the Highlands.
