The beautiful village of Danby lies 4 miles south-east of our Commondale cottages and is the setting of The Moors National Park Visitor Centre. And just 8 miles to the west is the village of Great Ayton, the childhood home of Captain James Cook – learn more about this world-famous explorer in the Captain Cook Schoolroom Museum.
