Holiday cottages and self-catering accommodation in Cowes, Isle of Wight

Cowes is the Isle of Wight’s most northerly town and is split down the middle by the mouth of the River Medina into Cowes and East Cowes. Travelling between the two sides of the river is easy, with a vehicle and foot passenger chain ferry getting you there in minutes. This delightful seaport town is steeped in maritime heritage and is an extremely popular destination for sailing all year round, making it ideal for a luxury holiday.

A highlight of the calendar, Cowes Week is one of the world's largest and oldest regattas and is just as famous for its spectacular fireworks finale as it is for its sailing. There’s still plenty do in Cowes during the rest of the year; the town is home to some of the best Isle of Wight attractions, not least elegant Osborne House in East Cowes. Its beach, Osborne Beach features among our top beaches on the Isle of Wight. Cowes Beach is a must-visit too, and offers some beautiful panoramic views across The Solent. The Cowes Maritime Museum will fill you in on the history of the area, while culture vultures should head for Northwood House for performances and events.

There is so much to see and do during a stay in Cowes; from restaurants and bars to quirky shops and family attractions, there is sure to be something to suit everyone. And in the evenings, you can return to the comfort of your pick of our Cowes holiday cottages, whether you’re holidaying as a couple, a family or a group. We also have dog-friendly cottages in Cowes, so all members of the pack can enjoy a break in our self-catering Cowes accommodation. Have a browse of all of our holiday cottages in Cowes above.
