Self-catering holiday cottages in Culross

Book one of our cottages in Culross, Scotland to marvel at the picturesque 16th-century buildings flanking the Firth of Forth including the ochre-coloured Culross Palace. Situated close to the Forth Bridges with its exceptional views across to the Edinburgh side of the Firth of Forth, this tiny hamlet is one of the region’s prettiest. Culross made its name and wealth thanks to sea salt and coal mining in the immediate area. Culross is famous nowadays for being one of the filming locations for TV’s immensely popular Outlander and one of the Captain America films. Much of Culross has been restored by the National Trust for Scotland including its ramparts and cobbled lanes. Culross is only 10 miles from Dunfermline, so you can visit Dunfermline Abbey or enjoy the Neuk of Fife coastline by visiting the towns and villages of Anstruther, Crail and Pittenweem. When in Culross seek out the remnants of the village’s pier, which got partially dismantled to build the port at Leith in Edinburgh back in the 17th century. The jewel of Culross is the Palace with its National Trust-restored gardens that instantly transport visitors back in time with the stunning 17th-century architecture. Other historical highlights include the Town House, Culross Abbey, and the Mercat Cross

Head to Culross to get away from it all, with the deep waters of the Forth of Firth to the south and a wealth of coastal trails and landscape to the east and west. We have family cottages, boltholes for a two-person retreat and big houses for big groups across the Neuk of Fife and you can begin your search for the perfect cottage retreat in our selection of Culross cottages. Browse our holiday cottages in Culross and you’ll soon be looking forward to a relaxing getaway.
