Things to do from your Derwentwater holiday cottage

Book a holiday in one of our cottages near Derwentwater if you wish to explore the Lakeland fells or take a boat trip to the popular market town of Keswick on the northern shore of the lake. A Keswick Launch will whisk you around Derwentwater with jetties at Ashness Gate where you can get off to walk to Surprise View, Hawes End which is the starting point for a scenic walk up Catbells and Lodore where you can enjoy a waterfall walk and explore the Borrowdale Valley. You can also take to the waters of Derwentwater in a traditional wooden rowing boat or follow the Derwentwater Walk which is a scenic 10-mile waymarked trail around the water.
