Self-catering holiday cottages in Dornie

Dornie is a small former fishing village in the Kintail district of magnificent Ross-shire, in the Highlands of Scotland. The village overlooks the meeting point of several large lochs, including Loch Long, Loch Alsh and Loch Duich. At the south of Dornie lies the famous Eilean Donan Castle, one of the most visited and photographed attractions in Scotland. First inhabited around the 6th century, the first fortified castle was built in the mid-13th century and is open for exploration by the public today.

Our Dornie cottages make a perfect base for exploring this beautifully scenic part of the Highlands. A paradise for outdoor enthusiasts, walking, hill climbing, mountain biking, fishing and water sports are all in abundance here. The nearby Skye Bridge means the Isle of Skye is only a short drive away where there are many more beauty spots to discover including the Old Man of Storr, Neist Point and the Cuillin mountain range. You’ll also find a variety of picturesque villages dotted along the surrounding coastline of our self-catering accommodation in Dornie, such as Plockton, Kyle of Lochalsh, and Lochcarron.
