If you want to leave the world behind, find some real peace and quiet, and take some treasured time away with loved ones, Dunkeld and its sister town of Birnam across the River Tay is a Scottish haven. Our Dunkeld cottages are found in and amongst a collection of slate-coloured buildings against emerald green woodland and clear waters. This characterful town in Perth is almost hidden by shrubbery and woodland, and is dominated by the majestic Dunkeld Cathedral, home to the tomb of the notorious 'Wolf of Badenoch'.
Step out from one of our holiday cottages in Dunkeld and wander along Cathedral Street and The Cross, marvelling at the pastel-coloured houses which have been restored by the National Trust for Scotland, many of which date back to the 17th and 18th century. There are so many lovely things to do in Dunkeld and the surrounding area that it’s the perfect spot to spend a few days in our self-catering accommodation, eating in the cafes, browsing the independent shops, and taking strolls down by the river where you can watch wild salmon leaping. Situated in the heart of Perthshire, also known as Big Tree Country, the surrounding countryside is a haven for outdoor activities with a myriad of way-marked walking and cycle trails through local forests and beautiful Highland countryside. We have an inspiring collection of self-catering accommodation in Dunkeld, why not have a browse?
