Browse our Dyffryn Ardudwy holiday cottages and start planning your Snowdonia holiday. Dyffryn Ardudwy is a great destination for a North Wales break, whether you’re looking for a group holiday or a romantic retreat in a self-catering holiday cottage. Occupying an enviable spot on the North Wales coast in between Barmouth and Harlech, the small, coastal village of Dyffryn Ardudwy overlooks Cardigan Bay and boasts its own long, sandy beach backed by pretty dunes. The remarkable Wales Coast Path passes through the village, with the Harlech to Dyffryn Ardudwy Walk being one of the most popular in the area. This 12-mile route takes in an incredible cliff-top castle in Harlech and runs close to the local train line, so you can hop on and give your legs a rest if this length of walk proves too much.
If you like a challenge, follow the path to Ffordd Pen Llech, which remains the steepest street in the Northern Hemisphere. The walk will give you spellbinding vistas of the coast, as well as provide the mountains of Snowdonia as a backdrop, and it offers you a chance to see Dyffryn Ardudwy’s hillside burial chamber. This pair of Neolithic tombs are extremely well preserved and were, in fact, built generations apart. Neolithic and Bronze Age pottery were found here in the mid-20th century, making it a must-visit for any history buff. Staying in our holiday cottages in Dyffryn Ardudwy, Wales, also gives you the chance to visit the seaside town of Barmouth, just 3.5 miles away. The mountains meet the sea here and you can take to the Mawddach Trail on two feet or two wheels and marvel at the beautiful Mawddach Estuary in Southern Snowdonia. Browse the accommodation above which also includes pet-friendly cottages in Dyffryn Ardudwy.
