Cowes is the northernmost town on the Isle of Wight and is split in the middle by the mouth of the River Medina. East Cowes, on the east of the river, is slightly quieter and very beautiful, with plenty of activities to welcome its visitors with. Plus, a ferry service runs from Southampton direct to East Cowes making it very easy to visit from the mainland. Cowes is steeped in maritime heritage with a large marina making it a very popular spot for sailing all year round – the world’s largest sailing regatta ‘Cowes Week’ takes place here every summer. Book one of our East Cowes cottages to experience the charm for yourself. Aside from sailing, there is plenty more to do in the area, including walking on the many nearby beaches in Osborne Bay, visiting the East Cowes Heritage Centre and exploring Osborne House, filled with the possessions of Queen Victoria and her husband Prince Albert.
We have a wide range of holiday cottages in East Cowes from which you can explore this wonderful part of the Isle of Wight.
