With a fluctuating colony of 250,000 seabirds, consisting of puffins, guillemots, razorbills, kittiwakes, herring gulls, fulmars, and shags it makes Bempton the largest of its kind in the UK. There is a good number of view spots that look over the cliffs and a great visitor centre which has a museum, information centre, a café, a gift shop. Catch a boat from Bridlington to see Bempton Cliffs from the sea, this is a wonderful way to see the bird colony. Also visit, Rudson Monolith, or enjoy some water sports at North and South Landing. A bit further up the coast is the traditional seaside resort of Scarborough, which is well worth a day trip.
