Gwithian is a village on the eastern side of St Ives Bay in West Cornwall. It is one of the most beautiful parts of the county and has everything you could wish for from a holiday in Cornwall, from beaches to riverside walks and the glorious nature of the Godrevy to Portreath Heritage Coast, on the other side of the Red River.
A short distance from our Gwithian holiday cottages to the east of the village is Gwithian Towans, an area of coastal dunes and an unspoilt golden beach. Basking in the sunlight all day long, this impressive stretch of sand is popular with sand yachts and kite buggies as well as being a real hotspot for surfers of all abilities. Common seals are a regular sight and there are lots of rock pools and caves for kids to explore too. From our self-catering cottages in Gwithian Cornwall, you can also walk the South West Coast Path all the way to St Ives and experience some spectacular scenery along the way.
