Kentisbeare is a small village in eastern Devon, which has running through its centre the winding waters of the River Ken. The church around which the settlement is based dates back over 750 years, pointing to the long history of medieval villages in this part of Devon.

Today much of the social life of Kentisbeare’s residents revolves around the Wyndham Arms, a Grade II-listed historic coaching inn providing cool drinks and warm meals all year round.
