Our fantastic range of Langdale Valley holiday cottages provides a lovely choice of self-catering accommodation for anyone looking to explore this spellbinding part of the Lake District. Located at the centre of this beloved national park, our Langdale Valley accommodation is perfect for couples in search of a romantic break in stunning surroundings, families enjoying a well-earned break, or friends undertaking breathtaking walks along the area’s mighty fells.
We have an enticing choice of Langdale Valley holiday cottages, including imaginatively renovated apartments, cosy lodges, welcoming wood cabins and traditional secluded cottages. From Bowfell in the east to Ambleside in the west, Langdale comprises two valleys – Great Langdale and Little Langdale – and makes a wonderful destination with glorious scenery and miles of memorable walks.
We have plenty of lovely Langdale Valley cottages which are ideal for discovering the region’s landmarks. The Langdale Pikes dominate Great Langdale and are popular with walkers. Great Langdale is also home to Bowfell, Crinkle Crags, the Langdale Boulders and Dungeon Ghyll. Pike of Blisco stands across Great and Little Langdale, offering far-reaching panoramic views. In Little Langdale you can explore the Cathedral Quarries, Blea Tarn and Little Langdale Tarn.
The bustling town of Ambleside is to the east of Langdale, resting at the northern tip of Windermere. The Langdale Valley makes a fabulous base for exploring the rest of the Lake District, with Scafell Pike to the west, Coniston Water in the south, and the lakes of Thirlmere, Ullswater and Derwentwater to the north.
