Lying to the side of the winding River Torridge, Little Torrington is a village a few miles to the south of Bideford in North Devon. Originally a Saxon settlement called Toritona, Little Torrington’s current church building dates back to the 15th century though its records go back at least 200 years further.
Surrounded by open fields and woodland, Little Torrington is a fine spot from which to explore the beauty of the Devon countryside.
