Lochinver in Scotland has long been a hideaway location for open-air activity thanks to the Caisteal Liath Mountains and their prolific scrambling, walking and rock climbing opportunities. Lochinver is a good place to stay as it has very good amenities, it’s the largest place north of Ullapool on the west coast of Scotland. You can make use of handy supermarkets, a post office and a petrol station; there’s also restaurants and pubs. Charter a boat for some deep-sea fishing, enquire at the Assynt Centre. Take a drive around the Drumbeg Loop to see some spectacular scenery. It’s said to be one of the very best roads to tour in Scotland. Lochinver has a variety of eateries and a good selection of shops within its attractive town centre, which is known for its floral displays and town gardens.
