The parish of Morwenstow, or Logmorwenna as it is called in Cornish, is found in North Cornwall, several miles from the coastal town of Bude. Morwenstow lies entirely within the Cornwall Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is also close to the Devon/Cornwall border, making it a great destination from where to explore the best of both counties.
Our Morwenstow cottages offer the perfect base to return to after a day of adventure in this part of Cornwall. Nearby, the National Trust property, Hawker’s Hut, stands on the coast looking out to the isle of Lundy - it is named for the poet Robert Stephen Hawker who wrote the Cornish anthem, Trelawny. You could head south to visit the National Trust’s Sandymouth Beach, which is popular with surfers and has a mini waterfall cascading onto the sands below. You can pick up the South West Coast Path from here and walk over clifftops, admiring the dramatic coastal views. Further south still is the popular resort of Bude, or you could head north to the picturesque Hartland Quay, with its stories of smugglers and shipwrecks. Whatever you choose to do, return to one of our self-catering holiday cottages in Morwenstow to relax in comfort and style.
