Mudeford is a charming quayside town in East Dorset with an intriguing smuggling history to discover. Nestled within Christchurch Bay, there are beautiful sea views to be enjoyed from our Dorsetholiday accommodation here. Choose one of our Mudeford cottages where you can kick back and watch the boats as they come and go. This is also a great spot if you’re a keen birdwatcher, with Stanpit Marsh Nature Reserve in one direction and Steamer Point Nature Reserve lying close to Highcliffe Castle. From our Mudeford holiday cottages, you can enjoy a gentle stroll along the promenade of Mudeford Quay and if you have children with you, they will love crab fishing from the quayside. From the quay you can also catch a foot ferry over to Mudeford Sandbank across the water, an isolated spit that forms part of Hengistbury Head and boasts an incredibly beautiful, golden beach which is a haven for wildlife.
A short walk away from our Mudeford Quay holiday cottages are more sandy beaches to enjoy, including Gundimore, Avon Beach and Friars Cliff, which all offer facilities and beach huts for hire. Our holiday homes in Mudeford are perfect for those who love being on the water as this is a renowned sailing and windsurfing destination, as well as a mecca for fishing enthusiasts. Enjoy a true taste of the English seaside with a stay in our self-catering Mudeford accommodation. Plus the New Forest National Park is only 6 miles away if you’d like to combine the coast with the countryside and enjoy watching the roaming wildlife.
