Cottages in Newby Bridge

This small hamlet in the Lake District, is located west of Grange-over-Sands and on the River Leven, well-known for its salmon and sea trout fishing. At the southern end of Windermere, you will be well placed to visit the popular lake, as well the other 15 beautiful bodies of water across the Lake District. Its name comes from the five-arched stone bridge which was built across the river in 1651 and it is also a stop-off point on the preserved Lakeside & Haverthwaite Railway. An ideal base to explore the Furness Peninsula and southern Lakeland area, it is also the perfect spot to come home to after a day exploring the villages of Cartmel and Hawkshead.

We have a marvellous selection of cottages in and around Newby Bridge – have a browse through stone cottages with mountain views, perfect for a walking holiday, chocolate-box cottages with roses around the door, just the spot for a romantic weekend, or a Lakeland farmhouse which will welcome all members of the family, including the four-legged member of course. Come to one of our Newby Bridge holiday cottages and discover why everybody is in love with the Lake District.
