Steeped in history, Penryn is an ancient market town in West Cornwall, on the banks of the Penryn River. It has been an important trading centre in Cornwall for many centuries, though in recent times has been overshadowed by its larger twin, Falmouth, just a couple of miles to the east. Its traditional cobbled streets are lined with shops, galleries and a selection of pubs. Follow the town’s Heritage Trail to discover the fascinating Tudor, Jacobean and Georgian architecture, along with the iconic clock tower, and museum in the town hall. Staying in one of our Penryn holiday cottages means that you also have easy access to other parts of the county, as Penryn railway station is a stop on the picturesque Maritime Line from Truro to Falmouth.
Choose one of our cottages in Penryn to visit the spectacular 30-acre Ennys Gardens nearby as well as a wide range of Cornish attractions further afield, including The Eden Project, the cliffside Minack Theatre and St. Michael’s Mount. From our cottages to rent in Penryn, you can also easily reach the Roseland Heritage Coast including St Mawes, Mylor and Flushing via a water taxi from Exchequer Quay.
