Self-catering holiday cottages in Portknockie

The coastal village of Portknockie can be found on the Moray Firth, not far from the town of Buckie. Portknockie is home to the Bow Fiddle Rock, which is a large sea arch made of quartzite rock that stands close to 50 feet tall and bears resemblance to the bow of a fiddle. Along the coast, it is possible to spot some interesting seabirds, including the fulmar, common eider, and razorbill. Portknockie Woods is a beautiful area for a ramble and a picnic among delightful scenery while over in Findlochty, 3.5 miles west, there’s a small rocky beach by the harbour where children might like peering into rock pools to see what they can find. Travel 13 miles west along the coast to Spey Bay where you can find the Dolphin Discovery Centre and might spot these beautiful creatures playing in the waves.

Retreat to this coastal town with a stay in one of our Portknockie cottages and relax on a seaside break. Roam the coast, explore the countryside, and stop by pretty local villages on your travels. We have a wonderful selection of cottage escapes for you to take a look through in and around Portknockie - find a family retreat, dog-friendly accommodation or romantic getaway for two for your ideal holiday.
