We offer a fabulous choice of Solway Coast holiday cottages, providing a range of welcoming and cosy accommodation along this beautiful part of Cumbria. Our Solway Coast holiday cottages are ideal for couples in search of a secluded romantic getaway, families looking for a tranquil seaside retreat or for groups of friends enjoying long walks along the area’s rocky cliffs and grassy dunes. We have a delightful choice of self-catering Solway Coast cottages including stylish lodges, renovated toll houses, relaxing bungalows, beautifully restored townhouses, cosy apartments and secluded barn conversions.
Covering some 40 miles, the Solway Coast is known for its beautiful sandy beaches, salt marshes and diverse wildlife. There are plenty of activities along the Solway Coast including birdwatching, kayaking, kite surfing, cycling and sea fishing.
The Solway Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty has plenty for you to discover. Local landmarks and attractions include the historic Holme Cultram Abbey on the Solway Plain, the Discovery Centre in Silloth, Senhouse Roman Museum and the Solway Wetlands Centre. The bustling harbour town of Maryport is home to the Maritime Museum and the Lake District Coast Aquarium as well as plenty of great pubs and restaurants. Heading inland you can visit the Solway Aviation Museum and Tullie House.
Solway Coast accommodation is also ideal for exploring the north-west of Britain, with Dumfries and Galloway just across the Scottish border to the north, the magnificent Lake District National Park to the south, and both the North Pennines and the Isle of Man within easy reach.
