Self-catering holiday cottages in Stow-on-the-Wold

A beautiful market town and one of the smallest in the Cotswolds, Stow-on-the-Wold sits up upon a ‘wold,’ overlooking the ancient Roman Fosse Way. The large market square, once famed for its wool trade, is still a hive of activity today.

Sitting atop Stow Hill, the town was once an important hub, the vestiges of which are present in its market square and the elegant Cotswold townhouses which line it. Nowadays, the wool industry has given way to shopping and you’ll find everything from antiques and art to gifts and food while wandering around this picturesque town. Find out about the colourful history of cricket in the Cricket Museum, and visit nearby National Trust Property, Chastleton House (7 miles) to get a taste of how the other half once lived. Also within a short drive are Hidcote Manor (14.5 miles), Kiftsgate Court (14.5 miles) and Sezincote (7 miles) with their impeccably designed gardens.

If your visit to Stow-on-the-Wold coincides with the farmers’ market which is held on the second Tuesday of the month, be sure to stock up on fresh local produce to create a delicious feast back at your holiday cottage.

Our Stow-on-the-Wold cottages reflect the charm of this glorious corner of the UK, with Cotswold stone and character features creating the perfect relaxing environment for your holiday. Amongst our holiday cottages in Stow-on-the-Wold, you’ll find a number of enticing elements, from luxurious interiors to hot tubs in the garden.
