Holidays in Tarbet

The small village of Tarbet lies close to the shores of the famous Loch Lomond in Argyll and Bute. Tarbet is the scene of an unusual conflict between the native red squirrel and the invasive grey squirrel due to the nature of the surrounding woodland.

Squirrels are not the only wildlife that can be encountered in this part of the world as the wild and beautiful landscape is home to many interesting creatures including the red deer, the osprey, and the golden eagle.
